ROAD WIDENING MACHINE

The Strassmayr widening machine line fully corresponds to users' needs with both small, medium and large road widening works, side forming or trenching for cables and pipes. Machines are available in version  PUSH and PULL, powered by a diesel engine or from a PTO carrier adapter.

The shoulder widener is suitable for laying loose materials and bituminous mass (using a higher temperature strength feeding belt) on the road sides. Universal mounting of the machine allows installation on any customer carrier – wheel loader, excavator or tractor.

The machine uses a carrier drive, e.g. a loader, only for movement, providing the drive of all elements through the use of an internal combustion engine with a variable-performance hydraulic pump.

Strassmayr BF 400 is the largest model of Strassmayr widener. The productivity of BF 400 is approximately 40% higher with respect to BF 290 and the working width of 30 cm to 3 meters allows even the most demanding work to be carried out.

Greater total mass, stronger engine, wider transport belt and solid wheels indicate that the machine is designed for large-scale work, especially on highways. The main material tray is also 40 cm wider, allowing for continuous work even on tight corners, without the need for temporary disconnection of the tipper. In addition the engine chamber was closed in order to lower the noise level of the machine.
